Bet made Paris turn celibate

Paris Hilton’s vow of celibacy is just to win a bet. The hotel heiress recently announced she was giving up sex for a year to concentrate on her career and to make herself a stronger person. But it has now been revealed that Paris has formed a “single girls club” with her friends and they have a bet to see who can last the longest without sex. Paris said, “I’m not doing it with anyone. I want to concentrate on work. I’ll kiss, but nothing else.” Another member of the “club” is tennis ace Serena Willams, and the idea is that the bet will encourage them to put their work first. Paris, who claims to have only ever slept with two men, was recently reunited with her ex Stavros Niarchos at a party in St. Tropez where she was pictured kissing him with her legs wrapped around his waist.

I turn to Jen in times of trouble, says Cox

Courteney Cox has revealed that she turns to friend Jennifer Aniston for support in times of trouble. The actress, who became very close to Jennifer when the pair starred in the hit sitcom Friends, admits her former co-star is one of just a handful of people she would trust to help her through a crisis. She told People magazine, “There are a few people that I would go to. But I would definitely say my mother and Jennifer are two.” Last week, Cox revealed she hired a therapist to sort out a crisis in her marriage. The 42-year-old star, who is married to Scream actor David Arquette, called in a relationship counsellor to help save her marriage after the couple were caught in the middle of a blazing row by paparazzi during a recent holiday. Cox, who has a two-year-old daughter, Coco, with Arquette, said, “I could see how relationships break up if you don’t stop and say ‘What are we doing?’ So, in the end we went to see a therapist.”

Katie takes scientology follower for girls-only do

Katie Holmes has her own scientology “handlers” who follow her everywhere. The Batman Begins actress, the fiancée of Tom Cruise, attended a girls-only party held by US magazine In Style recently, but took along an invited guest, one of her Scientology minders. One partygoer is quoted, “You weren’t allowed to bring a guest with you. But Katie brought a guest, one of her scientology ‘handlers’. She was the only one who didn’t come alone. Katie’s minder kept a watchful eye and a close distance at all times. It was so creepy. You couldn’t really talk to her honestly and openly. Katie looked dead in the eyes. She was not the same person she was before she met Tom. Whenever Katie would leave the room, all the girls would talk amongst themselves about how strange she seemed and how bizarre the whole situation was.”
